If you have always wanted to try painting or have already done some classes before, then this is the class for you!
Join us for a fun filled afternoon and paint a Blue Dog (or cat) in pop art colours inspired by US artist George Rodrigue. Enjoy a delicious lunch and a glass of bubbles.
We provide demonstrations for every step of the painting process and individual help is provided. You will learn about colour mixing, basic drawing and painting skills, and how to add shadows and highlights to make your work come alive.
Experience the joy of creating, with your own vibrant artwork to take home. Everything is provided so relax and enjoy a creative experience with like-minded people. Our classes are taken by qualified and experienced art teachers with years of experience.
More Information
All materials are provided for our adult classes and no prior painting or drawing experience is required. Classes are held at our brand new Mount Pleasant studio. Art aprons are provided and each class is taken by a fully qualified and experienced art teacher. Our activities are planned by a professional artist and are designed step by step to help you succeed in your art endeavours.
If a class is fully booked you can add your details to the waitlist and you will be notified if a place becomes available. To book in, click on the 'Book Now' button and choose Mount Pleasant as your location. Enter your details and book for the class with our easy online booking system at anytime. A confirmation email will be sent out to you automatically.

Blue Dog
George Rodrigue is a US artist who painted the famous Blue Dog painting, based on his pet dog. Join us to paint this fun artwork on canvas. We love the use of bright colours and you can design your own artwork inspired by George Rodrigue.
Whale Workshop
Humpback whales, Whalesharks and Orcas - join us to paint these amazing beasts of the oceans! We will use drawing and painting mediums to create three stunning works on paper. Learn the simple techniques to draw wonderful sea life and how to mix and layer colours for a 3D effect.
